WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?
Since the 1990s microneedle therapy has been used by clinics to perform Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) as an anti-ageing treatment. We now have Fractional Mesotherapy which is a combined technique that goes further, producing collagen through controlled wounding while Mesotherapy adds the penetration of sterile active ingredients directly into the dermis to treat a range of skin concerns.
In short, it’s a fabulous preventative AND repairing treatment that is TAILOR-MADE for each client. Needling is ideal for clients with uneven skin tone or texture. It’s excellent for very fine lines spreading out from the eyes and around the lips and is a great alternative to Botox, or as a supplement to get the skin in prime condition before injectables.

THE TREATMENT
Fusion Fractional Mesotherapy is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment designed to deliver growth factors, peptides, vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid into the skin to treat a variety of conditions whilst simultaneously stimulating collagen to improve the structure and texture of the skin.
First, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised with anti-septic. A mild resurfacing peel is applied for a couple of minutes to remove dead skin cells and aid penetration of further products.
Dependent on the client’s needs, a blend of sterile active ingredients is created (based on pure Hyaluronic Acid) and applied to the skin. A hand-held electronic pen device holds a sterile 9-point needle which is taken over the skin in several directions, creating microtrauma.
There is no bleeding, just redness which indicates the skin is reacting. A cascade of healing is promoted through this slight inflammatory response which gradually leads to new collagen being laid down in the dermis, creating fuller, smoother skin. The active ingredients work at a cellular level to initiate change – such as reducing pigmentation or oil secretions. A cooling masque is applied for comfort and added hydration. *This protocol varies for different levels of treatment as described below.
There will be slight redness for about 24 hours – so no social events that night, please! But over the next few months improvement is apparent. A course of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended, dependent on individual needs.
